Eco-Art and Natural Dye Workshop with Grace Emmet

Join Cape Cod artist, educator and forager Grace Emmet for an introductory level workshop into the world of eco-art in our outdoor event space. Grace will guide you through an exploration of eco-art fundamentals including ethical foraging, local ecology and creating your own pigments and inks from the world around you. Together, you will experiment with locally sourced flora and natural materials to transfer color to create your own eco-prints and your own inks. In this workshop you will not only draw inspiration from Cape Cod’s natural beauty, but you will harvest it to create your own works of art. Find love for your environment through creativity and walk away with new perspectives about the connection between artist and nature. $52 per guest.

A gallery and marketplace supporting Monomoy Community Services

The Loop is home to painters, photographers, ceramists, jewelers, industrial craftsmen who live work and create right here on Cape Cod. What better way to care for the children and families in our community than to honor them with support from some of the best artists in our region. Whether created by established icons or emerging stars, the work available for purchase at the Loop is stunning, collectable and makes it possible for our programs and resources to continue.

To showcase the abundance of talent and creativity in our community, The Loop will also spotlight art, crafts, and gifts created by the alumni of Monomoy’s youth and childcare programs.

In addition, a collaborative with Chatham Harvesters Coop will provide locally caught seafood, directly from Chatham fisherman to customers. All proceeds will be donated directly to Monomoy.

Monomoy Community Services is a private, not for profit agency whose purpose is to provide a variety of social service, childcare and financial support resources for residents of the Town of Chatham. The scope of those services changes with the needs of the constituents and is defined by community outreach, extensive needs assessment and ongoing research into the challenges facing our remarkable seaside village.
